Gavelbase Billing & Fees

At Gavelbase, we keep billing simple and transparent. Our goal is to give you the flexibility to grow your business while keeping costs predictable. Below you’ll find a clear breakdown of how our fees and plans work.

Final Value Fees

  • Standard rate: 3% of the final sale price

  • Fees are reduced with higher plans — see our Plans for details on potential savings

This percentage is applied only when your item sells.

Store Plans

Every active store on Gavelbase requires a monthly plan. This covers your ability to:

  • Operate a store

  • List and manage items

  • Access included plan features like AI credits, listing allowances, and crew seats

Plans may include:

  • Crew seats (the number of staff/teammates who can access your store)

  • Listing allowances (counts per marketplace, not total across all)

  • AI credits to power advanced automation features

💡 Example: Listing one item to both eBay and Facebook counts as two listings. There is no limit to how many lots or items you can create in your dashboard.

Auction & Reselling Websites

For businesses that want to go beyond a single store, Gavelbase offers a hosted auction/reselling website plan.

At a Glance

  • $100/month base fee

  • 3% final value fee (discounted with higher plans)

  • $0.07 per Monthly Active User (MAU)

  • Includes a full suite of tools for auctions, fixed-price listings, and seller management

A Monthly Active User (MAU) is defined as someone who has logged into your platform that month. Guest visitors who only browse without logging in do not count.

What’s Included

With this plan, you can create your own fully branded auction or reselling platform, complete with:

  • Fully branded reseller platform — your marketplace, your brand

  • Custom domain — run your site under your own web address

  • Consignment & seller management — onboard and manage outside sellers

  • Auctions & fixed-price listings — run timed auctions or direct sales

  • Seller dashboards & payouts — empower sellers to track inventory and payments

  • Events & marketing panels — promote categories, sales, or events

  • Customer email & SMS notifications — keep buyers informed automatically

This plan gives you everything you need to operate as a marketplace for your own products or as a platform for others to resell through.

Overdrafts

We don’t hard-cap your business. Instead, overdrafts kick in only once you exceed your plan’s included sales or listings.

  • Going beyond your plan’s included sales triggers a 5% fee per lot sold past your plan’s quantity.

  • Importantly: this applies only to sales past the included limit.

    • Example: If your plan includes 500 sales and you hit that on the 25th of the month, sales 501 and onward will be billed at 5%. The first 500 remain at the standard 3%.

This ensures you’re never blocked from making a sale, but also keeps fees fair.

AI Credits

Most plans include a pool of AI credits, allowing you to use features like:

  • Automated lot descriptions

  • Title optimization

  • Category suggestions

Each feature shows its credit cost transparently before you use it. Your available balance can be tracked directly in your settings.

When credits run out, you can purchase more at any time from the owner’s account.
